Course Description

Spanish Conversation for Travel, Hobbies and Cuisine| Spark Spanish conversation with travel, hobbies and food. Build speaking, listening, reading and grammar through role-plays, menus, itineraries and cultural stories. Hands-on, social classes allow everyone to speak, experiment and learn together. $183 includes $10 fee. Note: Designed for adults at beginner or intermediate levels. Basic Spanish (LAN-377) or previous Spanish instruction recommended.

Learner Outcomes

Navigate at least four common travel situations in Spanish: greetings, directions, hotels, and transportation; Order food and discuss preferences at restaurants/markets using key vocabulary and numbers/prices; Share and ask about hobbies, interests, and past experiences using present and simple past tenses; Identify main ideas and key details from authentic materials like menus, maps, short travel texts through guided reading tasks and class discussions; Participate confidently in spontaneous conversations for at least 10 minutes per class, demonstrating improved pronunciation and risk-taking.
