Course Description

Canva Beyond the Basics: Level Up Your Visual Content | Take your designs beyond templates and into true creative control. Focus on advanced, time-saving features, streamline the process and elevate your overall aesthetic. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll. Designed for users who already have a foundational grasp of Canva.

Learner Outcomes

Create at least three original designs using advanced layout strategies such as custom grids, layering, and alignment to produce professional-quality compositions. Apply video, animations, and transitions across at least two multi-format designs to strengthen visual engagement and motion-based storytelling. Utilize Canva A.I. Magic Studio to efficiently generate unique imagery and enhance your creative process. Design at least one original, high‑impact layout, demonstrating a clear transition away from standard templates through intentional structure, visual hierarchy, and cohesive design choices. Implement advanced photo editing effects and graphic manipulations to enhance at least two design projects, demonstrating improved visual clarity, cohesion, and professional polish.
