Course Description

Functional Mobility and Balance 2 | Continue to improve and maintain coordination, balance and agility. Study fall prevention and strength concepts and activities. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll.

Learner Outcomes

Identify muscle groups utilized in functional mobility and balance; Define the concepts of balance and coordination; Explain the value of balance, strength, and coordination for healthy aging; Describe the importance of preventing falls in the maintenance of independent and healthy living; Demonstrate techniques and strategies improving coordination and balance.
