Course Description

Baking Basic: Cheesecakes | Learn to make rich creamy cheesecakes. including New York-style and no-bake recipes. Create full-size or mini cheesecakes for individual treats. $100+ includes $40 fee. Note: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients used in making cheesecake; Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Apply traditional culinary techniques in the preparation of cheesecake; Create assorted cheesecake; Critique the recipes you prepared in class.
