Course Description

Mastering Classic Custards at Home | Watch a Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism chef demonstrate custard preparation. Identify qualities of well-made custard, including ingredient interactions, cooking methods, storage and presentation. Ask the chef questions and post successes in the online classroom. Note: Recipe packet includes detailed instructions, recipes and grocery list. $23+ includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients and techniques used for custards;  Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together;  Demonstrate the safe usage of kitchen hand tools and utensils;  Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures;  Apply proper technique for preparing and baking the recipes; Demonstrate proper understanding of appropriate baking methods.
