Course Description

Pre-Apprenticeship Low Voltage Telecom Training Part B | Prepare for entry level work in the telecom field leading to a registered telecommunications technician apprenticeship program. Learn low-voltage applications. Obtain OSHA-10 General Construction and CPR/First Aid certifications while preparing for entry into a fully online (synchronous), registered telecommunications technician apprenticeship program. Job placement assistance is available upon successful completion of the program. CEUs issued. $1,110 includes $110 fee. Corequisites: CIT-309 Pre-Apprenticeship Low Voltage Telecom Training Part A and NRN-332 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid. Note: Cost includes instruction, textbook and supplies. There are additional costs for NRN-332, HeartSaver CPR/First Aid.  

Learner Outcomes

State the rules for professional and ethical conduct; Identify the methods for hand bending and installing conduit; Identify the common types of low-voltage cable and state their uses and limitations; Describe various types of cable trays and raceways; Articulate the application of the common tools used with in the trade.
