Course Description

Focaccia, Pita and Flatbreads | Learn to make delicious flatbreads, like focaccia and pita, from all over the world. $100+ includes $40 fee. Note: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients and special techniques used in focaccia, pita and flatbreads; Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together, being prepared; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Apply traditional culinary techniques in the preparation of different flatbreads; Produce assorted focaccia, pita and flatbreads.
