Course Description

Python Programming: Introduction | Learn the basics of computer programming with Python. Examine expressions, variables, conditionals, loops, lists, sets, dicts, functions, objects and exceptions. Develop, test and debug Python programs. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. CEUs issued. $317 includes $25 fee. Prerequisite: Experience performing basic computer and file management tasks on a modern operating system.

Learner Outcomes

Develop basic Python decisions, iteration, sequence containers, sets and dicts; Identify custom functions and call built-in Python functions; Practice importing modules and namespaces from the Python Standard Library; Identify classes and instantiate objects using Python's Class mechanism; Create and debug an entire program written in Python.
