Course Description

International Appetizers | Learn to prepare a vibrant selection of appetizers inspired by the rich and diverse flavors from around the world. Appetizers, each crafted to showcase the unique ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, from the fresh and zesty tastes of the Mediterranean to the aromatic and spiced delights of the Middle East, and the bold and savory bites from Asia and more. $76+ includes $34 fee. Note: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together, being prepared; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Apply traditional culinary techniques in the preparation of  an assortment of appetizers; Identify ingredients used in different countries; Produce an a variety of appetizers; Critique prepared recipes.
