Course Description

CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam Prep | Prepare for your CompTIA Security+ exam including review of network security, compliance and operational security, threats and vulnerabilities, application, data and host security, access control and identity management and cryptography. Course materials are included. CEUs issued. $1,614 includes $469 fee. Prerequisite: Knowledge of operating systems and hardware and/or CompTIA A+; basic networking concepts and/or CompTIA Network+. Note: Exam voucher included. Once registered, if you cannot attend the course, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than five calendar days prior to the course start date in order for a refund to be issued. Submit completed drop forms by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in-person at a registration site. Drop forms not received within the time frame listed above will be not processed; no refund will be issued.

Learner Outcomes

Develop skills and knoledge necessary to successfully complete the CompTIA Security+ certification exam; Explain basic concepts of network security; Anaylze and assess threats and vulnerabilities for information and information systems; Identify and provide examples of operational security concerns; Evaluate hardware and software solutions for access control and identify management.
