Course Description

200 Hour Professional Yoga Instructor: Part 1 | Create a well-sequenced yoga class. Review the principles of demonstration and observation and how to use them when teaching. Discuss the business aspects of teaching yoga. CEUs issued. $60 includes $10 fee. Co-requisites: YGA-551 200 Hour Professional Yoga Instructor: Part 2 and YGA-552 200 Hour Professional Yoga Instructor: Part 3.

Learner Outcomes

Discuss the relevance of the Yoga Sutras in our present day; Use yamas and niyamas as themes when teaching a yoga class; Discuss meditation techniques and the progression of when to introduce them to students; Describe and discuss the benefits and contraindications of beginner yoga poses; Self-evaluate teaching a one-hour, well-sequenced yoga class for beginners.
