Course Description
Sign Language Lab: Vocabulary and Syntax | Build on fundamental vocabulary, syntax structure and techniques learned in Conversational Sign Language 1. Topics include American Sign Language Manual Alphabet, finger spelling and numbers. $60 includes $10 fee. Prerequisite: SLG-343 Conversational Sign Language 1 or permission of instructor.Learner Outcomes
Recognize American Sign Language structure ordinal numbers, cardinal numbers, and common Lexicalized fingerspelling; Review expressive and receptive skills from the Manual Alphabet and common Lexicalized fingerspelling; Practice American Sign Language expanding vocabulary from Conversational Sign Language 1 to include an additional 90 signs; Demonstrate each new vocabulary set and syntax structure in group exercises; Discuss new opportunities to use American Sign Language in the deaf community of Anne Arundel County and surrounding area.Applies Towards the Following Certificates
