Course Description

Conversational Sign Language: Level 3 | Develop advanced conversational skills using American Sign Language vocabulary, spatial and visualization techniques. Focus on human characteristics, life at home and the community. CEUs issued. $193 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Review and expand upon foundational vocabulary adding 270 signs and 20 sign phrases; Demonstrate ASL structure including spatial organization, listing techniques, non-verb pairs, alternative ethnicity signs, special visualization, money signs, additional classifiers; Discuss ASL culture including collective values, historical deaf figures, and events; Translate common English idioms into ASL; Communicate the proper signing techniques applied to numerical indicators.
