Course Description

Introduction to Creative Writing | Learn about plotting, characterization, dialogue, conflict development and satisfying endings. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Apply the basics of good writing to creative writing; Discuss the development of a work of creative writing from concept to completed work; Describe the elements of plot development; Demonstrate the ability to develop characters and write effective and convincing dialog; Demonstrate the ability to create conflict and maintain tension in one's writing.
