Learner Outcomes

Examine various garden types and identify distinct characteristics of each; Explore local, national and international gardens in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Missouri, China, France, Italy, Holland and England; Describe the origin, history, and signature design characteristics of gardens; Discuss the local and/or national role of botanical gardens in the development and support of local culture; List factors to consider before visiting a garden.
