American Furniture 1700-1900s | Explore American decorative arts including furniture, lighting, wallpaper and upholstery from the 1700s to early 20th century, including Jacobean, William and Mary, Queen Anne, Chippendale and Federal. 

Learner Outcomes

Discuss the contributing factors and development of American furniture styles during the 1700's-1900's; Describe American interior and exterior architectural styles and the relationship to furniture styles; Recognize Queen Anne, Chippendale, Victorian, Gothic and Renaissance revival interior furnishings; Demonstrate an understanding of the European influence on American furnishings.
