Integrative Strength and Flexibility Techniques | Learn to improve flexibility, muscular strength and posture through skills and concepts utilized in yoga. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.Learner Outcomes
Define integrative flexibility; Examine the basic anatomy of respiratory, digestive, muscular and nervous systems; Explain the importance of the breath to enhance daily living, exercise regimens, and stress management techniques; Identify and demonstrate functional movements that will improve posture, muscular strength and coordination; Demonstrate techniques that will increase metabolism and reduce age related loss of muscular strength.Loading...
