Course Description
Functional Conditioning | Discover how to develop strength and flexibility to help older adults perform functional movements with the Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Review low impact aerobics, weight training and stretching. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.Learner Outcomes
Evaluate functional movements on the sagittal, frontal and transverse planes; Identify methods that condition biomotor abilities including flexibility, strength, endurance, agility and coordination; Demonstrate how to conduct static and dynamic postural assessments; Discuss and demonstrate techniques to develop muscle memory and help make movements "automatic."Loading...
