Course Description

Integrative Strength and Flexibility II | Demonstrate techniques and functional movements that will improve flexibility, muscular strength and posture. Learn how to manage stress and enhance daily living through developing a heightened sense of body awareness and self-awareness. Note: This course teaches skills similar to those found in a yoga class. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Define flexibility and its importance in maintaining functional abilities; Examine the human body including the respiratory, digestive, muscular and nervous systems; Demonstrate techniques for self-assessment; Identify and demonstrate functional movements that will improve posture, muscular strength and coordination.
