Course Description

Minecraft Modders | Use Minecraft to explore the basics of modding and programming. Learn scripting and logic statements while creating a mod! Learn introductory coding through a simulated environment inspired by Minecraft. $236+ includes $161 fee. Note: Offered in partnership with Black Rocket Productions. Camper projects will be available on a Black Rocket password-protected website to share with families and friends. Students must own a JAVA version of Minecraft. Tablet, phone and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible.

Learner Outcomes

Learn about modding - a slang term derived from the word modify to describe modifying software to perform a function not originally intended; learn 3D modeling; import your creations into your Minecraft game.

If your child cannot attend a course or camp, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than five calendar days prior to the course or camp start date in order for a refund to be issued.
