Course Description

Basic German: Customs and Culture | Sample the German language. Learn how to greet people, obtain directions and order meals as you learn about German culture. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. $103 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Recite useful German phrases as well as short questions and answers; Discuss Charlemagne and the beginning of the Holy Roman Empire; Discuss key historical events including Franco-Prussian War and the construction of the Berlin Wall; Identify German customs and influence in today's world.
