Course Description

French Language, Customs and Literature | Develop spoken and written skills. Increase understanding of French culture and history. Work on grammar, French-Canadian history and a short novel ordered by the instructor. Presentations in French are required, and students also must express thoughts and opinions in French. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Develop and improve French language skills and learn to converse in daily situations; Increase ability to converse in the past and future tenses; Demonstrate understanding of French heritage, customs and holidays, art and history. Develop reading skills in French and explore the themes of a novel.
