Course Description

Smartphone Photography | Explore technical and creative aspects of smartphone photography. Use compositional techniques and photo editing applications to enhance images in post-processing. Familiarity with your smartphone's camera controls recommended. Note: Smartphone videography will be touched upon, but not covered in-depth.

Learner Outcomes

Explore basic automatic and manual camera features available on Android and iPhone smartphones and discuss the best settings for optimal image quality; Describe composition principles and techniques that can be applied when shooting smartphone images; Describe techniques and tips for taking photos in common shooting situations, including selfies; Apply creative enhancements and corrections in post-processing via photo editing apps; Explore social media platforms for sharing images.
