Course Description
Conversational Sign Language: Level 2 | Build upon your conversational sign language skills. Review and expand the phrases and vocabulary you have mastered in ASL. Practice signing in a small group setting as you learn to appreciate deaf history and culture. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.Learner Outcomes
Review and expand upon level one vocabulary including an additional 150 vocabulary signs and 15 sign phrases; Identify masculine, feminine and signs that denote gender and practice using common phrases; Demonstrate American Sign Language structure including conjugating verbs, pronoun numbers, classifiers, and tense markers; Role-Play and communicate using "voice-off" to practice vocabulary in discussions about vacations, family, or work in a small group setting; Sign three interesting facts about deaf history and culture.Loading...
