Course Description

Tiling Basics for Home | Identify tiling techniques then practice on a variety of surfaces. Examine tools and supplies, discuss tile selection, outline surface preparation, practice tile cutting and grouting. $54+ includes $24 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify tools and supplies necessary to complete basic tile installations; Discuss tile selection in relation to the type of tile available (i.e., glass, ceramic, metal, etc.) and the type of project to be completed; Discuss measuring for and ordering tile; Compare different tiling surfaces and identify the preparation necessary for each, i.e. floor, wall); Examine tile cutting techniques and safety; Outline grouting instructions and practice basic technique; Practice tiling techniques.
