Write Like a Pro | Under the guidance of a professional Hollywood writer, learn how to use a story outline to "blueprint" a structure for any story. Explore how to develop a concept, theme, foundation, logical progression and consistent style. $113 includes $75 fee. Note: Online course. Offered in partnership with ed2go.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of story structure; Discuss the dramatic elements, including passion, theme, character, premise and story; Discuss the role of the protagonist and antagonist and discuss how their character flaws play off of each other to create dramatic tension; Describe the elements that make up Act 1: stimulus, polaris and catalyst; Act 2: crisis, Agonia (struggle) and epiphany; Describe the elements of the final Act: the remedy, climax and resolution.
