Course Description

Beginning Spanish Part 2 | Extend the study of basic grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary skills. Practice comprehension and oral proficiency of level-appropriate Spanish through small group conversation. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Define present tense verbs with irregular verbs and recite four examples; Differentiate and explain the contrasting uses of 'estar' and 'ser'; Examine the proper uses of preposition 'a' and 'de' and restate three uses in a complete sentence; Practice comprehension and oral proficiency of level appropriate Spanish through small group conversations; Discuss the culture, traditions, and history of Puerto Rico.
