Course Description

Back to Basics: Become a Better Writer | Examine the fundamentals of personal and business writing. Review the basics of sentence structure, noun placement, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Develop evaluative and editing skills in writing. $110 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify the noun and verb as the foundation of a sentence, demonstrate proper verb conjugation, and correct common conjugation errors; Differentiate between the adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and prepositional phrases and demonstrate their proper placement in a sentence; Identify compound sentences and demonstrate the proper use of the conjunction; Recognize and correct sentence fragments and common punctuation, capitalization, can modifier misplacement errors; Develop evaluative and editing skills in writing.
