Course Description

Math Challenges | Creatively explore math and mechanical concepts through building materials. Discover, explore and create simple machines. Work in teams to solve engineering challenges. Use math and science to create a protective case for an egg drop experiment. $205+ includes $37 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Introduction to pulleys and simple machines; Introduction to wheels and axels; Discuss fractals; Design an egg drop container, launch and evaluate effectiveness of your container; Plan, design and evaluate the effectiveness of your Rube Goldberg creation.

Notices

If your child cannot attend a course or camp, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than seven calendar days prior to the course or camp start date in order for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in-person at one of our registration sites. Drop forms not received within the time period required above will be processed, but no refund will be issued.
