Course Description

Japanese Anime 101 | Examine Japanese-style animation, from its introduction to American culture more than 30 years ago to the present. Explore anime's content, symbolism and culture. $205+ includes $37 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Students will gain understanding of Japanese history and culture; Understand the process of creating animation; Recognize the impact that Anime and Japanese culture has had on pop culture; Gain the skill to draw their own comics.
