Course Description

Color Learn to work with color by studying mixing, relationships and harmonies, systems, and the psychological and expressive aspects of color. Develop hand and digital skills in projects designed for studio artists and commercial designers. No previous art courses necessary. $412 includes $40 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify and discuss the properties of color; Practice and demonstrate the ability to mix intended colors, create color harmonies, and employ various color systems; Design and prepare works of art that communicate an understanding of color as it relates to composition, using different materials and demonstrating good craftsmanship; Identify and discuss the difference between subtractive and additive color; Describe and demonstrate the ability to use color to convey psychological content.
