Discuss selections from “My Own Words.” Explore how Ginsburg’s life and jurisprudence reflected and influenced the arc of women’s changing status in law and society, acquiring insight into the workings of the Supreme Court and the role of dissenting opinions.

Learner Outcomes

 Examine the words of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in order to engage more knowledgeably in civil conversation; Asses gender parity, discrimination, and equity and the part that laws play in the conduct of public affairs; Discover the inner workings of the Supreme Court and the role of dissent in decisions; Review the history of women who have opened pathways in public and private spheres.
