Course Description

Finding Peace: Lessons in Conflict Resolution from Northern Ireland Develop skills in conflict resolution. Apply lessons learned from peace practitioners and researchers in the region to other conflict situations. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Explain the root causes of conflict; Evaluate one’s personal conflict style; Identify triggers for escalation; Determine approaches to peacebuilding; Apply lessons learned in Northern Ireland to other conflict situations.
