Course Description

This hands-on course introduces you to AI concepts, tools, and their applications in everyday life. Delve into current topics, from smart technologies to AI's role in work and society, while gaining practical experience with AI tools. Join us to discover how AI is shaping our world today and prepare for its future impact. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Describe four basic concepts and principles of Artificial Intelligence and their historical development; Practice three AI tools and technologies used in everyday life and professional settings; Investigate the most recent developments in AI and list two potential implications for the future; Complete a hands-on project using an AI application; Discuss and evaluate the ethical challenges associated with AI, including privacy, bias, and societal impact.
