Course Description

Beginning French: Level 3 | Continue building upon elements of grammar, reading pronunciation and writing. Gain confidence by engaging in listening comprehension and speaking in complex dialogues in French. Actively participate in language-immersion to increase both comprehension and fluency. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Identify and recite 50 new and complex vocabulary words and strengthen reading and verbal skills; Demonstrate comprehension and oral proficiency of level appropriate French through small group complex discussions; Articulate five interrogative pronouns, adverbs, and adjectives and expand upon listening and comprehension skills; Examine the study of grammar, verb conjugations, and structural elements of the French language and role-play two dialogues; Communicate, summarize, and express opinions on current event topics discussed in French through small group discussions.
