Course Description

You Can Make It Sewing Series: Level 1 | Learn to master using a sewing machine. Discover how to choose patterns and understand the guide sheet, handle fabric, mark and sew your garment with confidence. Sewing machines are provided. $140 includes $20 fee. Note: Instructions and guidance for students to purchase their own supplies will be given in the first session.

Learner Outcomes

Review basic sewing machine safety and features; Discuss how to choose fabrics and sewing patterns; Implement choosing, sizing and understanding the guide sheet on a sewing pattern; Cut, Mark and sew your garment; Discover techniques to measure and hem.
