Course Description

Pool/Spa Operation | Gain the knowledge and skills needed to take the pool and spa operators certification exam and run a facility. Learn about regulations, maintenance, filter systems, chemicals and forms. CEUs issued. $175 includes $145 fee. Note: Online course meets the active Marylands Public Swimming Pool Regulations as designated by the Maryland State Department of Health to obtain for Pool Operator license. Offered in partnership with Aquatic Training & Consulting Service LLC. Registered students will receive an email in their myAACC email closer to the start date of course with further instructions how to digitally access the course and required course materials.

Learner Outcomes

Identify the basic do's and don'ts of swimming pool operation; Identify the five factors of water balance in swimming pools; Define the different types of diseases that can be transmitted through pools and spas; Recognize how to understand the difference between stable and unstable chlorine; Develop an understanding of possible damage that high mineral content can cause to a pool and how to prevent this from happening.
