Course Description

Learn beekeeping basics in the comfort of your own home with this online class. In this In-Home Classroom course students will discover the ins and outs of starting your own honey bee hive. Learn about the types of bees and their duties, their role in modern agriculture, the structure of bee hives, honey production and extraction.  $35+ includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify honey bee entomology; Identify various flavors of honey; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional apiary tools; Apply traditional beekeeping techniques used in the maintaining of the hive.
