Course Description

Apple Spotlight: Understanding Apple iCloud | Learn to set up iCloud. Become familiar with key applications stored on iCloud, the Find My App and AirTag, iCloud+ and the benefits of each application. Discuss iCloud history and why cloud storage is important worldwide. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Define the iCloud feature and name five apps that are automatically set up on iCloud when you receive your Apple device. Explain the system requirements for iCloud and the two-factor authentication used to secure your data. Discover the many features of the Find My app and AirTag locating systems found within the iCloud. List three features of iCloud+ and discuss the costs and benefits of upgrading your iCloud account. Discuss the history of the Apple iCloud, the reasons why it was invented and the results achieved.

Grading: Students will receive a Y if they attend the class and an N if they do not. Attendance: Students must attend 60% of the instructional time of this non-credit CEWD class to pass. Class participation: Students are encouraged to participate in this CEWD class.
