Course Description
Spanish Conversation: Beginning to Intermediate | Build on previously acquired Spanish language skills with an emphasis on increasing vocabulary, comprehension and correct usage in spoken language. Focus on everyday situations and interact with the instructor in a relaxing, fun atmosphere. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.Learner Outcomes
Review basic grammar and practice conversation skills through instructor guided discussions. Articulate ordering in a restaurant, securing a hotel room, making dinner reservations, asking and giving directions, asking for medical help, shopping in a food market, and shopping for clothes. Practice beginning and intermediate level Spanish phrases, sentences, and questions focusing on diction and comprehension. Demonstrate comprehension through student prepared presentations in Spanish using selected topics provided in the class. Demonstrate an understanding of the diversity within Spanish-speaking cultures.Notices
