Course Description

Become a Physical Therapy Aide | Learn about the human body, specific disorders and how physical therapists treat disorders. Explore the history of physical therapy and the relationships among physical therapists, assistants and aides. Learn to communicate effectively with health care professionals and patients. Explore medical documentation that physical therapists use and principles of ethics and law that affect the PT aide. CEUs awarded. $115 includes $85 fee. Note: Online course. Learner Outcomes

Describe the human body, specific disorders, and how physical therapists can treat these disorders;  Examine proper body mechanics and how to safely help patients with range of motion;  Discuss the history of physical therapy and identify the various functions carried out by working physical therapists;  Identify needed skills for communicating with sick or injured people;   Describe how to demonstrate the traits of empathy, respect, and patience as a PT.
