LGA-935 - French Intermediate 2

Course Description

French Intermediate 2 | Continue building vocabulary for complex French reading and writing. Engage in advanced listening comprehension for better knowledge of different aspects of French culture. Actively participate in language-immersion to improve pronunciation and fluency. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Articulate day-to-day dialogues describing life experiences and activities in francophone countries; Increase vocabulary and conversational skills through discussion of texts, dialogues, and videos from various francophone territories; Practice using intermediate level grammatical structures through classroom dialogue, written assignments and engagement in analytical group discussions; Develop advanced listening comprehension skills by listening to a podcast series of multicultural French backgrounds and comparing the cultures through group discussion; Demonstrate an understanding of the French culture, and summarize three or more current world issues in an historical context.
