Course Description

Commercial Drivers License CDL A: Part 2 | Prepare for the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration Commercial Drivers License Class A examination and road test. Learn straight line backing, coupling and uncoupling, alley docking, parallel parking, lane control, start up, braking, and speed and space management through range training. CEUs issued. $2,225 includes $1,910 fee. NOTE: Must be 18 or older to enroll. Students must meet with program manager prior to registration. Call 410-777-2935 to make an appointment.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability of backing maneuvers and straight-line rearward movement of the tractor-trailer; Demonstrate an understanding of how to couple and uncouple the tractor-trailer; Demonstrate the ability to accomplish sight-side and blind-site parking maneuvers; Demonstrate skid control; Discuss and demonstrate an understanding of daytime and nighttime driving and driving under simulated/real hazardous conditions.
