Course Description

Learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting. Study basic techniques and explore the creative possibilities. Create paintings based on still life, landscape and the figure. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. CEUs issued. $412 includes $40 fee. Note: All sections also offered for credit, ART-140.

Learner Outcomes

Identity and apply elements and principles of design in watercolor compositions; Identify and discuss traditional and contemporary works of art in watercolor; Identity and apply the basic artistic concepts pertaining to the watercolor medium; Apply color match to the setup by glazing and mixing colors using the primary triad colors; Identify and discuss how to create a convincing, realistic painting of drapery.
