Course Description

Electrical 2 Training: Part A | Learn about construction and electrical safety. Explore the National Electrical Code (NEC) rules that are related to electrical installations and the equipment specific to alternating current. Practice connecting GFCI devices. Note: Offered in partnership with Chesapeake Energy Solutions LLC T/a Chesapeake Electric.

Learner Outcomes

Recognize voltages and properties of various electrical systems; Identify the branch circuits, working spaces, and related scenarios found on the BCES prints; Define classification and divisions of hazardous locations as described in the National Electrical Code; Identify and apply requirements for service and calculations; Identify the characteristics and installation practices of bare and insulated conductors.
