Course Description

Electrical 2 Training: Part B | Learn residential and commercial wiring systems. Explore the National Electrical Code (NEC) rules that are related to conductors, cutout boxes, cable trays, and raceways. Practice voltage drop calculations. Note: Offered in partnership with Chesapeake Energy Solutions LLC T/a Chesapeake Electric.

Learner Outcomes

Describe methods of installing, terminating, and splicing conductors of all types and sizes;  Select cable trays fittings, supports, and fill levels based on load calculations to prevent failure under load;  Cite the purpose of grounding and bonding electrical systems as well as the NEC regulations;  Describe and explain the basic principles and purpose of standby generator sets; Describe and explain the installation requirements for transfer switches, generators, and emergency systems.
