Course Description

Electrical 3 Training: Part A  | Delve into industrial applications, methods and requirements. Explore National Electrical Code (NEC) rules related to appliances, low voltage lighting, circuits and transformers. Practice connecting low voltage lighting. Note: Offered in partnership with Chesapeake Energy Solutions LLC T/a Chesapeake Electric.

Learner Outcomes

Recognize basic electrical terms; State general safety considerations in electrical installations; Define the various classifications of hazardous locations and the wiring methods permitted in these specific hazardous locations; Explain the National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, selection and size regarding overcurrent protection for specific applications; Recognize the purpose, operation, and installation of a low voltage lighting systems; Describe thermal protection for luminaires.
