Course Description
Driver Education | Develop a working knowledge of Maryland traffic rules and procedures for operating a vehicle. Learn and practice space management and vehicle maneuvering skills in all traffic situations. Explore the factors affecting vehicle control and driver performance. Required for all persons (regardless of age) who want to obtain a Maryland driver’s license. Includes 30 hours of class instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel practice. CEUs included. $446 includes $425 fee. Note: Students must be 16 or older to register. Students under 16 years of age register for KDS-843. Offered in partnership with Elite Driving School. The first session is mandatory. The behind-the-wheel scheduling and its associated policies are facilitated by Elite Driving School. Latest edition of Maryland Driver’s Manual is required.Learner Outcomes
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the rules and procedures of operating a vehicle; Utilize visual search, time and space management skills to avoid conflicts and make reduced-risk decisions about driving; Demonstrate vehicle control in low, moderate and high density traffic situations; Explain physiological and psychological factors and responsible actions affecting driver performance; Identify vehicle safety features and ways to control the vehicle in potentially dangerous situations.Loading...
